Alphacool NexXxoS Cool Answer 240 DDC/XT set
The Alphacool complete cooling kits consist of optimally selected ALPHACOOL products which maximize usability for users. The “Cool Answer” complete cooling kits are the answer to both small cooling requirements as well as large system with multi-core processors or even extreme over-clocked systems. The current kits differ in the reservoir – pump combination, radiator size and number of fans of course. The LT/ST kits consist of the latest Alphacool DC-LT pump in combination with a 5.25” slot-in reservoir. Copper radiator ensures excellent thermal conductivity. Radiators from ST set are 30mm thick, XT set with a thickness of 45mm and a UT with 60mm for the most demanding users which will not disappoint even over hot summer days.

Alpacool NexXxos XP³ CPU-block has gained market position as one of the best among known manufacturers of water cooling blocks. The patented cross-slot technology of the popular NexXxoS XP was developed even further, improving both flow rate as well as cooling performance. The water block is compatible with all current sockets on both Intel and AMD Mainboards. Two mounting brackets are included with the water block and can be exchanged without having to disassemble the water block.

Optically nicely made reservoir can be easily filled from top after opening the sealing screw. The front has a liquid level indicator and transparent front panel. Logo was changed to blue to fit the color and logo of the manufacturer. From the side can be fixed to the 5,25″ bay with included bolts.
The back side of the reservoir is adapted for installation Laing DDC pump, which saves space. There are also I/O openings for two Alphacool HF 13/10 (10×1, 5mm) Fitting G1 / 4 – Deep Black. For optical enhancement can integrate up to four 5mm LED lighting (not included) to create unique lighting effects within the system.
For vibration damping caused by the pump is used thin rubber pad that is placed between the pump and the metal base, which is attached to the pump reservoir. DDC pump must be inserted into the holes on the back of the reservoir and secured with two screws.
Laing DDC Pump 12V DDC-1T was first used for mass-produced water-cooled workstations. Its operating time exceeds 50,000 hours at 12Voltoch. Ceramic bearing ensures long-term stable operation of the pump without any maintenance. The flow and displacement can be easily influenced by changing the size of the power input. The rotor is submerged in the pumped liquid and the is self-centering. The pump does not increase its noise with time. Coming with an impressive pressure head of 3.7m and a maximum flow rate of 420l/h at 12Volt, it’s a nice performance pump.

Alphacool‘s NexXxoS XT45 Full Copper radiators are a completely new development from Alphacool and offer the unique feature of copper fins, copper channels and copper chambers. With each set are of course included screws of two different lengths – 4 pcs of M3x30mm hexagon socket screws and 4pcs M3x35mm hexagon socket screws. Auxiliary key and 4 screw plugs.
Density of fins is around 10FPI (fins per inch), which means that it’s possible to use fans with lower performance or silent fans. Users who prefer quiet operation, probably should look for some fans with automatic speed control (PWM).
ALPHACOOL utilizes the large 13/10mm (3/8″ID) tubing size for the Cool Answer kits, allowing maximum flow rates. Tubing length is approx. 3 m.
The proven coolant CKC Cape Kelvin Catcher is used undiluted and filled directly into the system.
The advantage of this set is the expandability . If we plan to include other devices in the future, just buy the necessary amount of fittings. Generally we need one pair of fittings for each component we want to cool (1 input + 1 output). The tubing supplied with set should suffice for adding at least one additional block for example to cool the graphics card.
New fans from Yate Loon. Good performance, silent operation and reasonable price . Thanks to 60cm long cable it can be used even in big cases or server towers without extension cord.
